Once again, the pebbles I collected from Nairn Beach in Scotland have been a source of inspiration! They have already featured in my previous post: Two Earthy Colour Schemes for the Home.

In this new project, the pebbles influenced both the concept and the warm grey & creamy pink colour palette. Craig & Rose manufacture traditional Chalky Emulsion and Eggshell paint finishes, but also do special effect paints including Glitter Glaze. Inspired by the natural sparkle of the pebbles, I used Turner, Alhambra Stone and White Doe Chalky Emulsion along with Starlight Silver Glitter Glaze and painted them onto crockery, cutlery and stars made from cardboard. This project is a series of interior still life photographs exploring styling, colour, texture, light, shadows… and the magic of glitter!
